So proud... ace songwriter Julie Frost (Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Ed Sheeren) received a Golden Globe this week, in the "Best Song" category, for her beautiful song "Masterpiece"..which she co-wrote with Madonna. I produced Julie's solo album "The Wave"(which is a masterpiece in itself) and let me tell ya..she is an amazing artist and Im glad the world is getting to hear her music!
A big shout out to Wayne Baker Brooks, who's single "Somethings Going Down" is a Grammy entry for "Best Rap Sung Collaboration". The track feature's guest artists Twista, GLC and Sugar Blue and it's a killer! I had the good fortune to have tracked and mixed this important album.
Recording new songs for MTV/Viacom with Craig Pro...our song's "Telephone Road" and "Want Too" are featured in Season 4 of MTV's Jersey Shore and will appear on the upcoming soundtrack. You can also hear our music on MTV's "The Friend Zone"
Playing and tracking guitars for ace songwriter Matt Fedderman's amazing upcoming release.
I've recently completed 2 new audio books for the Smithsonian Institute's Alphabet Books series. Both "Alphabet of Earth" and "Alphabet of Dance" are available at Amazon.com.
Producing 3 new songs for singer songwriter Victoria Fuller's sophomore effort.
Finished final mix's for Shiny, which is a collaborative art rock "super group" consisting of myself on guitar, singer/guitarist Scott Bennett (Brian Wilson), drummer Matt Walker (Morrissey, Liz Phair Smashing Pumpkins,IRM), Brett Simons on bass (Brian Wilson, Melissa Ethridge, Fiona Apple, Liz Phair) and synth genius Jim Dinou (Most Dangerous Race, IRM), all fantastic musicians, producers and composers themselves, in addition to being my very dear friends. I’m blessed to be able to work with some of the greatest musicians in the world…it’s like every day is Christmas...even though I’m Jewish!
I'm finishing up an EP of my own guitar instrumentals with a little help from Jim Dinou (synth/noise) and Robby Fulks drummer Gerald Dowd. This collection of songs are intentionally being recorded and mixed in "non studio" settings without the use of any of my high end recording gear...bedrooms, 4 tracks and laptops all the way!
